When Uninest first approached us at Grantuity, they already had a strong platform in place. They were helping students find housing, access services, and manage day to day needs, but they were reaching a point where growth was moving faster than their foundation. They needed support to solidify what they had built and open the door to the next stage.
We started by helping them secure a $450,000 innovation grant. That funding allowed them to move ahead with important platform upgrades and feature development that had been on hold.
At the same time, we supported them in landing a major housing partnership in Ontario, which added more than 1200 verified listings to their app. This made the platform more useful for students and helped increase overall activity.
Yet most notably, we assisted with a partnership involving a national telecom provider. That agreement gave Uninest the ability to offer discounted mobile and data plans inside the app, and it quickly became one of the perks students utilised the most.
These developments created steady growth in both user numbers and partner driven revenue. For us, the goal was to help Uninest move forward without losing the core value of what they were building. They had the mission and the product, and we helped give them the support and opportunities that allowed them to move forward with more confidence.
